Frequently Asked Questions

The first pediatric visit should occur within the first week after birth, typically 3-5 days old. This visit checks for jaundice, ensures proper feeding and weight gain, and addresses any newborn concerns. If your baby was discharged within 24 hours of birth, the first visit should be within 48 hours of discharge.

Children need vaccines at: Birth (Hepatitis B), 2, 4, and 6 months (DTaP, Hib, Polio, Pneumococcal, Rotavirus), 12-15 months (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A), 4-6 years (DTaP, Polio, MMR, Varicella), 11-12 years (HPV, Tdap, Meningococcal). Annual flu vaccine is recommended for all children 6 months and older. We follow the CDC recommended schedule.
